TCC is Fighting Climate Change with Nature
The Conservation Coalition (TCC) has launched Rooted in America, an educational campaign to promote awareness around the potential of natural climate solutions.
Inspired by the conservative movement’s history of conservation, Rooted in America highlights the importance of actionable, on-the-ground climate solutions. Natural climate solutions are rooted in science, bipartisanship, and environmental stewardship. As wildfires burn in the West and hurricanes threaten the South, harnessing the power of nature in the face of environmental challenges has never been more important.
TCC Policy Director Christopher Barnard said: “The American people overwhelmingly support protecting our nation’s beauty and harnessing the power of nature to fight climate change. Natural climate solutions are our best opportunity for cost-effective, emissions-reducing action right now.”
Throughout the fall, TCC will feature educational content and highlight natural climate solutions in action all across the country. The American Conservation Coalition, TCC’s sister organization, and its activist branches will host events, such as tree-plantings, to put these ideas into action within their own communities.
