My prayers today are with everyone who knew and loved Charlie Kirk, especially his wife Erika and their two precious children. The hearts of the entire ACC team and our grassroots base are with you.
I have known Charlie for over 10 years, and I owe much of my career – and personal life – today to our paths crossing. In 2015, I met my husband, Caleb, through Charlie, and I’ve spent days reflecting on the fact that our son, Calvin, would not exist if not for his impact on my life.
In 2017, ACC’s small, scrappy team was welcomed with open arms at a Turning Point conference just weeks after our founding. Since then, we have continued to collaborate, especially on campus, through a variety of co-hosted events and camaraderie between our two student organizations.
Charlie leaves behind a legacy of strong leadership, steadfast faith, and respectful debate. We have no doubt that the vast network of young conservatives at Turning Point will continue to champion Charlie’s ideals.
In this moment, the conservative movement feels empty without him, but we will not let his legacy be forgotten. Rest in Peace, Charlie.
