Welcome Our New Additions
Dan Grossman
Dan was the founder and owner of a chain of office supply stores in Washington DC and New York City. He has been actively involved in a number of non-profit organizations in the US and internationally that promote individual freedom. He is past Chairman of the Board and a continuing Board Member of the Atlas Network and Foundation for Economic Education. He is also a current Board Member of a number of other non-profits. Additionally he serves as an advisor to a number of private companies. He is a graduate in Economics from Miami University (Ohio) and has an MBA in Finance from Columbia University in New York.
Mike Reszler
Michael Reszler is an experienced executive with over two decades of experience in the media sector, specializing in digital innovation, community engagement, and exploring the intersection of technology and democracy. He is an innovative leader at the intersection of digital media, community interaction, and diversity. At the Aspen Institute, he oversees the Citizenship and American Identity Program, which explores what it means to be American as well as how to develop and promote a shared sense of national identity and strengthen democracy in an age of demographic flux, extreme partisanship, and severe inequality.
Before joining the Institute, he was the Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Digital Officer, and SVP of Innovation and Experimentation at American Public Media Group. During his tenure, he steered a strategic pivot that expanded the audience and diversified the team through, among other efforts, a “Changing Racial Narratives” project to advance diversity in media leadership and storytelling.
Danielle Butcher Franz
Danielle Butcher Franz serves as CEO of the American Conservation Coalition, where she has played an instrumental role in the organization’s vision and strategy. As a founding member of ACC, Danielle has dedicated her career to building bridges between traditional conservative values and environmental advocacy.
Danielle’s passion and expertise have earned her fellowships with the Independent Women’s Forum and the Foundation for Economic Education. She is also a member of the American Enterprise Institute’s Millennial Leadership Network and served on the British Conservation Alliance’s advisory board for a three-year term. Danielle’s leadership has been recognized by some of the most prestigious organizations in the country. She has been named a Forbes 30 Under 30, a MavPac Future 40, and a Clean Energy News Network 40 Under 40 lister.
Doug Frey
Doug Frey is the former owner of Desert X-Ray and current owner of ATX Glazing, a fast growing Austin based company that does commercial glass installation. In 2017, he was elected to the board of Duck Unlimited (DU). Doug is an active DU volunteer at the local and national levels, and he and his wife, Allison, are Diamond Legacy Sponsors, Grand Slam Life Sponsors, and members of both DUI’s President’s Council and DUMAC’s John E. Walker III Society. Frey is also a trustee of the Wetlands America Trust board, one of the nation’s largest accredited land trusts and the land trust for Ducks Unlimited.
Gary Rappeport
Gary Rappeport serves as Chief Executive Officer & Principal at Far Horizons Capital. He is focused on sourcing creative investment alternatives that provide for long-term growth potential while having lower relative risk in their respective asset class. In 2012, Gary retired from a 27-year career in fleet leasing and management at Donlen Corporation where he served as Donlen’s CEO since 1997. Under his leadership, Donlen experienced industry-leading growth by providing corporations innovative solutions to finance and manage their fleets of cars, trucks, and equipment. He built a corporate culture around employee engagement and satisfaction and Donlen won numerous awards for its workplace environment and innovative technology. Gary spearheaded several initiatives and partnerships to reduce emissions from commercial fleets and Donlen was widely recognized for its leadership and commitment to sustainability. Mr. Rappeport is actively engaged in philanthropic efforts around environmental sustainability and education and is currently Chair of the Dean’s Advisory Board at the Wisconsin School of Business at UW-Madison. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Florida and an MBA from UW-Madison.
