The American Conservation Coalition was proud to be the headline sponsor for the Milwaukee 2024 Host Committee’s official debate afterparty. The evening signaled a milestone in the conservative environmental movement, with the first and only audience question centered on climate change brought forth by an ACC activist.
Our movement has worked hard to bring climate change to the forefront of the presidential debate. Climate change is real, but accepting the problem doesn’t mean accepting the Left’s big government policies. Data shows that millions of young conservatives and independents are looking for climate-forward candidates.
While candidate engagement on the question left much to be desired, we applaud former Governor Nikki Haley for being the one to speak up and offer a conservative path forward on the issue. Likewise, we want to recognize Governor Hutchinson, Governor Burgum, and Sen Scott for their willingness to engage. Conservatives want solutions rooted in innovation, American leadership, energy dominance, and economic prosperity. Over the past six years, ACC has successfully inspired conservatives to reclaim their conservation legacy, and we look forward to seeing presidential candidates lay out their visions for a clean, prosperous future.
