ACC to Host Bipartisan Panel of Senators with Atlantic Council at COP26

GLASGOW, U.K. — ACC President Benji Backer will moderate a panel on the topic of natural climate solutions at the “Bridging the Divide on Climate – A Bipartisan Conversation with U.S. Legislators” event, hosted with Atlantic Council and Senator Chris Coons (D-DE) tomorrow, November 6.

Senator Coons is leading the first-ever bipartisan congressional delegation at COP26 and will be joined by Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Congressman John Curtis (R-UT), and a coalition of Democratic senators and representatives.

Backer will moderate the natural climate solutions panel with Senator Stabenow, Senator Merkley, Senator Gillibrand, Senator Baldwin, and Representative Malinowski.

ACC President Benji Backer said: “I’m looking forward to moderating such an important, solutions-oriented conversation with both Democrats and Republicans this weekend. Natural climate solutions are an area of bipartisan agreement as ACC has demonstrated through our Rooted in America campaign.”

The event will be held from 1 pm ET at The Atlantic Council Resilience Hub, in the Blue Zone at the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow, U.K. and can be live-streamed here.
