ACC Announces Conservative Alternative to the Green New Deal
The American Conservation Coalition (ACC) will release their response to the Green New Deal in the form of a conservative climate platform, President Benji Backer announced last night.
Following Arkansas Congressman Bruce Westerman’s remarks at the third annual ACC Reception at CPAC, Backer took the podium to talk about reuniting conservation and conservatism.
The American Climate Contract will focus on the actionable solutions to climate change that can be implemented right now. There’s no time to wait for a Green New Deal or engage in climate denial.
Government Affairs Director Quill Robinson said: “The climate discussion has been defined by the partisan divide up until this point, but now is the time to champion real climate solutions.”
More specific details of the plan will be released in late March.
